Point Roberts and the surrounding area offers a great array of recreational activities, from horseback riding and hiking to biking. Gather up a few kids and kids at heart for a pick-up game of ball hockey, bocce or sand volleyball. Shoot some hoops or get in a rousing game of tennis followed by a swim in the pool. Your children won’t have to go far to find them.
Bird watching is fantastic in Point Roberts because it lies on one of the most active flyways in North America, and it benefits every season of the year. Not to mention world-class eagle watching; 10,000 eagles pass through Point Roberts each year. Seabright Farm even has its own eagle’s nest on site, home to Skye and Kyte.
Of course you could also just dig to your heart’s content in your garden, or settle in front of a wood fire with a good book from the local public library
Seabright also plans to keep you learning. The community centre is planned to be spacious enough to allow for classes and workshops for kids and adults, in topics such as eagle appreciation, aboriginal history, cooking, beer-making, wine tasting, woodworking and gardening, and there will even be a cider press on site to learn the centuries-old art of cider making.
