March is “Taste Washington” Wine Month, an annual celebration of the wonderful and plentiful wines produced here, culminating in the four-day Taste Washington event (March 31st – April 3rd). To get you in the “spirit”, we’ll take a look at Chateau Ste. Michelle, Washington State’s oldest winery.
The alcohol taxation regime of British Columbia has resulted in very few Washington wines being offered in the province, but there is a vast selection of wineries all over the state. The higher acidity level typical of Washington State wines allows them to be naturally food friendly and sustain longevity, providing a lovely pairing for any meal, holiday or everyday.
